More than 700 American Civil War-era gold coins have been discovered in a cornfield on a farm in Kentucky, USA. They are for sale, and the transaction price is expected to be in the millions of dollars (hundreds of millions of yen).

According to appraisers and sales company GovMint.com, more than 700 gold coins known as the "Great Kentucky Hoard" were found this year. The exact location and finder have not been disclosed.

A video posted by GovMint.com captures a man digging up the gold coins and talking about the "crazy stuff" he found.

According to GovMint.com, the coins were coined between 1840 and 1863 and include $1 Indian gold coins, $10 Liberty gold coins, and $20 Liberty gold coins.

There are also 18 extremely rare $20 Liberty gold coins minted in Philadelphia in 1863, which are listed by collectors for six-figure dollars, according to GovMint.com.

The appraisal firm notes that the Great Kentucky Hoard is a product of the Civil War and may have been lost for more than 150 years.
