POLL: Who Convinced You About Silver and Gold?

in gold •  8 years ago

Every individual's journey into silver and gold is different. Some have stacked silver since they stopped minting silver coins for circulation. Others recently joined because they watched a particular YouTube video or channel. But what about you, who convinced you about silver and gold?

Ron Paul in 2007 is the start for all my economic learning. Now I listen a lot to Peter Schiff (even though I don't agree with him on cryptocurrencies).

I told a co-worker of mine I wanted to start buying pieces of gold and hoard them lol He then talked to me for about 3 hours on how awesome silver was he convinced me in its potential and ever since then I've got myself out of debt and have been doing what I wanted to do with silver instead of my original thought with gold.

That's awesome man!

Easy. Ron Paul.
It was an avalanche of data after that.

Same here! Awesome.

I love it because it is something you can hide and keep near you for whatever reason you want to do that. Also, it doesn't corrode and has been valuable since the beginning of time. :) Thanks for sharing.

Ron Paul, Peter Schindler, Chris Duane, and Mark Dice with his candy bar or silver video 😂

Peter Schiff and Mike Maloney. Then thruth never told was somebody who convinced me!

I can't say any one person put me on to silver. I just had a thought one day of how our grandparents seemed more organized than us. How they had cupboards of food that could last weeks, no midnight runs to the gas station for breakfast cereal. Then I guess it struck me 'family silver' how they used to pass on their wealth. So I bought some 1oz coins and through curiosity checked you tube to see if anyone had a video about silver bullion coins (because there's a video about everything on you tube!) And there I discovered the silver community the rest is history.

I can't say anybody in particular got me into silver. Basically in the 07/08 crash i lost a part of my pension, luckily i was young enough to recover but i had to find a plan b for retirement...since i'm 30 years away. i'm guessing it might happen a few more times. I got researching for a while and realized there seem to be something wrong with the price....like back up the truck and fill'er up kinda wrong. Serving dual purpose of being a preservation of wealth and an industrial metal ,it has potential for gains, it just seemed like a common sense thing to do.

I think Peter Schiff is who initially got me looking into it, but then it was followed by a lot of research on my own.

A few convinced me, I was young however when I already had a longing for metals. I have convinced many and continue to do so....try anyway.

Scrooge McDuck. I wanna swim in a pool of silver coins

I've heard it's mostly just painful, more than

I was in to silver around 1996-2008ish I sold it off when the price seemed high lol I also had a good collection of gold but did the same. I got myself into the metals but do cryptos mostly now. Very good quality video :)

I was asking one of my trusted friends regarding a good investment for the future. She then told me that she bought some silver coins. She showed it to me and convinced me that buying silver and gold is a much better investment compared with just saving money in a bank.

I had an economics teacher in high school who planted seeds of thought about the monetary system in my head, however none of it really made sense or had much impact until recently. It was Mike Maloney and his Hidden Secrets of Money series that kicked things off and prompted me to do my own research about the history of money and how we are herded and milked of our economic energy like cattle by the control structure.
