I recently picked up a new Minelab Equinox, partially because of its water proof housing, partially because of its ability to find stupidly deep targets and mostly because Anaconda had them on sale for $200 off!
Obviously any machine you decide to but will come with a steep learning curve, this machine was no exception. I've been digging every target I come across to learn how this machine picks up targets, what ID's to look for and fiddling with the settings to get the best performance I can from it.
So far after finding a 9ct gold broach, $15 in change and a heap of older silver and copper coins I've learnt a trick.
Another YouTuber (cant refind his channel, sorry!!) described a method of sorting out signals that sound good and have the right target ID but turn out to be junk, such as a bottle top that reads as a $2 coin.
This method is simple and I've found to be surprisingly accurate especially if you try it in 'All Metal Mode'.
