About Benefits of Sun and Meditation!

Nowadays people are scared of sun rays because it can cause cancer or other problems with skin, but there is a time (for example: golden hour) when sun is not that strong (sun rays are being filtered through atmosphere) and when sun actually provides us a lot benefits! Sun is an essential “ingredient” for vitamin D. Of course Sun does not give off any chemicals that we can absorb, but when certain wavelengths of UV light hit our skin we can make vitamin D3 from cholesterol. Sunlight can build the immune system, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, kill bad bacteria, and help cure depression! It is very important for us to be outside and enjoy our sun.


I think golden hour or little bit earlier (if in the evening) is a great time for meditation! During this time it is safer to be under the sun for the full hour or maybe even for more time and just relax and enjoy the nature. Meditation can significantly reduce stress levels that will lead to a lot of health benefits! Meditation can be also great when you need to make some major decisions. ...and Sunday seems like a perfect day to do it :)

Whoa, nice moment. To those who are living in tropical countries, the sun is like available most of the time. but yeah, being out there and get hit with some sunlight does good to our body :)

yeah, when I used to live in Los Angeles there would be sun all the time, but here in Washington state, whole winter is very gray and cloudy, and during Fall and part of Spring rainy and cloudy. Pretty much, only during summer time we can enjoy it :( But we can get vitamin D even during cloudy season, ... the problem is that no one really wants to go outside when it's cold :)

Ya the cold is not decent at all. Experienced it few times when I was traveling.

but last year was kind of sunny tho...

Nowadays the importance of natural sunlight is so underestimated, people become obsessed with diet and exercise and forget about the most important thing - the sun!
