If you show your kind behaviour towards animals, they will start loving you. Animals doesn't need any money or anything of like that, they just need to share you love with them.
If you daily feed them and show some love then they will find you even if you are standing in group. Animals doesn't have any ill will in their mind. I think their company is much better than humans.
