Fiery Auburn, Salmon Orange, and Lustrous Gold … Chiang Mai, Thailand – GoldenHour Photography

We were awed by this spectacular view from the rooftop oasis of a downtown hotel.

Suffused with light

While lounging in the indoor sauna and jacuzzi at Duwang Tawan Hotel, I almost missed this amazing sunset view. During the late afternoon, I had been in and out of the pool, keeping an eye on the sky, but the light cloud cover did not promise any grand goldenhour views.  

But when I went outside again to cool down in the pool, the evening sky remained suffused with bright shades of intense light.

Intensified by reflection

And the still surface of the pool reflected the fiery auburn, the salmon orange, and the lustrous gold, in even deeper hues.   Location – Chiang Mai, on Google Maps
