As new day stirs
the sky will blush
where Heaven and the treetops touch
and all the birds will sing and greet
that rosy morn with silk robes sweet

When leaves are pale
with starry dew
the sky will shift from gray to blue
and breezes shimmering with chill
will sweep the shadows off the hill

All hail the sun! -
whose brilliant head
weaves the world with golden thread
and scares mist tendrils from the lawn,
leaving rays of glowing dawn
