There are two magical moments every day - two oportunities to catch the best natural light and colours - sunrise and sunset... Here in the far north, we have little more of that - during winter time, sunrise become sunset without the full daylight, what means, we have few hours of low, warm, amazing light to enjoy!

I love the feel produced by taking the blue tones out of the shadows and ice. It really makes the seen seem hard and fiery.

Cheers,
@kellyjanderson

I would love to spend some time up in Norway. Beautiful shot and congratulations on the feature.

WOW just WOW this one is really amazing ! Nice work. Did you use 16mm for it?

Thank You, The whole picture is made from 11 shots, all made in 16 mm, 6 vertical shots created foreground with ice, sky was made from 5 shots. All stitched together for panoramic effect.

Great job ! Followed

Hi, thanks a lot for good comment. Norway is indeed beautiful country - and still, despite all this well known places, it is full of wild spots, never visited or photographed. This is what I love the most here.

Amazing photo and good place! go through my blog and see my new content, greetings :D

Thank You, I see You like b&w photography - monochromatic pictures sometimes have a lot more to say than color ones... You have a good eye for this.

Hey you have some really good photos! I wish we had auroras like you take photos of here where I live. I've always thought about traveling to Norway to see the auroras up there and get pictures like yours. The only thing I have in the night sky here is the moon, stars, and lightning. Lightning is fun, but it's scary! I have a few photos posted @bristowboy if you'd like to check those out. You don't even have to upvote them or anything.

Hi, thanks a lot. When I lived in Poland I loved storms, I am a big fun of extreme weather since I was a child. Always watching all the tv programs, collecting photos from whole world. Weather phenomena are something what I really love and a great subject for photography! Here in NOrway - yes, we have Auroras, tru, but only when night is dark enough - so about half a year... during summer no thunder storms, sometimes once per month something hit the ground but no chance to catch it with camera. Nice photos You have there! Keep shooting!

Thanks. I wish you had some more chances to get lightning. I bet they would be amazing photos!

Just amazing, I love your use of focus stacking! I need to get better at that technique, do you have a blog or a how to for it?

Hi! The techniqe wasn't focus stacking - I merged many of single photos in one large image, to cover much more view than 16mm gave me. This is similar to making panoramic shot, but I prefer to make everything manual - automatic stitching always make some mistakes, clones or other problems. It takes some time but the results are best! I dont have a blog post about this techniqe yet - but it is quite interesting subject.

OMG. What a lovely picture it s. Explains my mood of the following year. Intense feelings...good or bad.
Can I download it to put as my desktop screen? if you dont mind?

Feel free to use it on Your desktop, no problem! Happy You like it!

Thanks

You take a good shot.

Couple of shots stitched together and outcome is a perfectly timed and composed photograph.

This is an incredible shot!!! Amaizing!!

Impressive. Very good job, you got a new follower :)

Thnx my friend! :)
