MARRIAGE II

Marriage is good but not everybody is ordained by God to marry due to reasons adduced by our Lord Jesus Christ.
“His disciples said to Him, if such is the case of the man with his wife, it is better not to marry. But He said to them, all cannot accept this saying, but only those to whom it has been given. For there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He, who is able to accept it, let him accept it.” Matthew 19:10-12.

However, for those who are married it is the perfect will of God that it is till death do them part. The greatest things can sustain a marriage in line with the will of God is demonstration of godly and goodly love.
“My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth” John 3:18

WHY GODLY LOVE IS IMPORTANT IN MARRIAGE
Love makes you to be patient with the weakness of your spouse and overlook their excesses.
“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up”. 1 Corinthians 13:4
Love makes you not think evil against your spouse.
“Love does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth.” 1 Corinthians 13:5-6
Love covers multitude of sins.
“And above all things have fervent love for one another, for ‘love will cover a multitude of sins”

Love is the fulfillment of the law by not trespassing against them because of godly love.
“Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Romans 13:10
Love gives willingly and sacrificially.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Absent of love in marriage makes you to become more of the weakness of your spouse hitherto overlook than the strength, as love turns to hate. 2 Samuel 13:15
Love is the reason God will judge the wicked for rejecting His gift of love to save mankind from His wrath. John 3:16-18
