THE JOYOUS MARRIAGE FEAST

in goldenproject •  6 years ago

This is actually a year to remember for our family. Blessing everywhere. First, three (3) of my sisters graduated from the university and her serving n different parts of the country. You can imagine the joy of my parents. It wasn't an easy task for my parents; you need not be told, school fees, feeding, books and the likes.
My parents gave birth to many of us, many girls, many boys as it is traditionally not accepted to number children. All of us are graduates of different disciplines and doing great in our undertaken.

But today, to double our joy, one of the girls got married. It was a dream come through for us all. My mum had her shoulders high, handing her daughter in marriage. This in no small measure is a November to remember and a Glorious year for our family.

The journey to this marriage began sometimes in 2017 when a young man, accosted by his kinsmen all the way from Enugu State seeking for the hand of our dearly beloved sister in marriage. Of course they must have met at UNN, University of Nigeria, Nnsuka. Love is in the air, seeing our in-laws coming to Imo state was not an easy task, they actually mean business. Like the traditional saying, "we have come to pluck a beautiful flower".
So, all traditional rites were paid in December, 2017. And to solemnize the marriage, they had to walk the aisle today.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Lagos Province 4 Headquarters blessed the union and the youth of church were adequately represented.

At the reception, it was dance galore. Different dance steps were on exhibition as joy paraded itself from the heart of both families but especially my parents. I do sincerely hope that this blessing would get to everyone looking up to God for it sooner than later.
