I am an avid gold panner. Have been for a few years now. I would love to show you all of the supplies you need to start panning for yourself. If you are just out on a creek or a river, you can hand pan with 1 pan without getting a claim. I suggest to practice panning with a pan and a few ballbearings at the bottom. Make sure to keep the ballbearings in the pan at all times while you learn to wash the dirt. The process gets easier the more you pan.

We take a large shovel and a wheelbarrow with a homemade screen for getting big rocks out. Last year we purchased a fantastic sluice run from a local company and it requires no effort...we love that it is just riffles and no filters to mess with during cleanup.
We take assorted pans and classifiers, a shovel, little vials for our treasures,tiny picks and screwdrivers. This is similar to my miner's pack.
