The more I play golf, the more I understand that when it comes to certain golf equipment, price and quality are sometimes directly related. Let's take a great example: golf towels. In my experience, the more expensive and decorative the towels are, the less effective they are. Since I play in the Florida heat without a golf club, I have to dry my hands with a half-wet towel between shots to dry off the sweat.

I can't tell you how many golfers I've played with who have bags full of expensive custom golf clubs, but they play with any old golf ball they can find in the woods or the nearest pond. Has no sense. If anything, these golfers have it backwards. The ball is the only equipment you use for each shot; You should find what you like best and stick with it.

It just has to be the same. Golf balls vary so much from brand to brand that you can miss a great shot if you take a big swing at an unfamiliar ball that ends up flying over the green or burying itself in a nearby bunker.
GOLF SOCKS.
Golf shoes are not as well made as they once were, but I have found that golf socks are better than ever. Spending $20 on a nice pair of wool golf socks will keep your feet dry and cool and make even cheaper golf shoes look luxurious.

RANGEFINDERS OR RANGEMETERS.
I have used a variety of rangefinders over the years, I think I have found the best one, model Bushnell v6. I spent a little more that day but nothing to keep the ball on the trails. Every time I try it with any type of laser rangefinder, the newer models have different readings at 5 meters, which makes me lose confidence. I really trust Bushnell to get me the right distance every time. Bushnell's ridiculous 98% usage rate among professional golfers makes this award a compliment.

Travel Bags for golf clubs.
A good golf club cover is the cheapest insurance you can buy. I have a Sun Mountain ClubGlider Meridian and although baggage handlers dented and scratched it, it stayed shiny for years and I never had to worry about all my clubs arriving intact.
