If you see your account, you'll need to use your steemit.com password from September or October. If you changed it in STEEM since then, the password on Golos did not change.

Does it matter if your account is the same on STEEM as it is on Golos? No. If your account was not automatically created, you don't have to create one with the same name. Other than consistency, there's no reason you need to keep the same name. They're not linked internally.
