In a manner of its own choosing
Which we have the liberty to agree
To recognize or not. For my part, on
This day, I feel contented that I have
Done some few things concretely to grow.
I emanate thankfulness to a receptive
Universe and preserve the hope that
Life will become even more wonderful
Day by day. Content with the acts
Of the present, at peace with the
Decisions of the past, I now face
The seeming daunt of a monstrific
Future. Shall I allow its hideosity
To intimidate me? Or shall I gaze
With determination and rigorous
Comprehension into its beady
eyes? This absurd cartoon
Of a future dystopic is
Only the dayterror of
Animal fear, so I
Shake my head,
Clear my mind,
Rest my sight,
And say good
Night.
