How to check if a photo is copied by Google or find information about the picture.

in google •  7 years ago  (edited)

A week ago I made a competition to make my best logo so I could sign posts
At first I was very excited by the ideas and the designs
, but then a friend told me that everything was copied.

Then he sent me a picture that he searched Google for the pictures and found all the pictures that resemble what they designed for me

It looks like this

if the pixels is exactly the same Google will find the picture for you
so if someone designed me a logo that was taken from the internet I can find it.
:)

how?
easy go to google.com

this function will ask you for the link of the picture, and the magic happens... it finds if the picture is replica or original.

(You can also drag the image to the search bar)

@amiramnoam - Cool. I did not know google now had the ability to search and match images. Will try it out!
I never copy any images when I create my artwork and I always have all the proof (all the stages of work from initial to final) of my creation but it is interesting to be able to search with images.
Thanks for the update. Upvoted

This post was extremely useful @amiramnoam

Hahah very wise and very well thanks google. the authenticity of life. life is steemite. in the hope of finding copies right away @amiramnoam

Yeah. I have two more ways i it can be done.
1.Google Reverse Image Search. This is my default go-to for looking out sources of images. You click on the camera icon in the search bar and upload the image. Google then brings up the sources for the image that you searched for.
2.TinEye. This works in a similar way as Google Reverse Image Search and the results are usually the same but not always.
There are a lot of bad eggs here on steemit.

wow man wow

did´t know that - thanks!

excellent information & superb work friend @amiramnoam

Well, I already know about this, But I'm 100% sure a lot of people don't know. so it will be very helpful for them.
What with the competition btw? did anyone design anything good?

yeah
again vm2904

Wow ! Didn't have idea about it ! Thanks for sharing with us !!

I use google and also tineye when I see images use that I suspect may not be the owners or credited properly and so I cam glad to see you share this so others learn how to check as well

Wow, I did not know google was able to do this. Very impressive!

I never knew Google had this function, although it does not surprise me that it exists either. Good find though, thanks for sharing.

It's scary crazy what google can do. I had to stop my contest that I ran for where in the world was samiam because of the google feature. I had a steemer rage on me simply because he had used google (that's how I found out) and google was actually close but wrong on one of my posts. Weird :)

Tomorrow I will draw logo for you :) Could't do it any early. It is sad that you recieve some fake entry.

As a photographer, graphic designer and artist, this is an amazing tool! Thank you for the awesome post and looking out for the fellow arts community

supper information my dear

You are one technology genius, good I did not participate in the contest, I would have surely sent you something copied.....hahahaha
