A few years ago I got the Google phone, Nexus 6P. The quality of the Huawei handset seemed inferior to Motorola handsets, but it was okay. Then, several months ago Google announced the date it would stop supporting the Nexus phones. With the very next update, my Nexus 6P would not automatically switch to power saver mode when unplugged. It had to be done manually, every time. Then, about 4 months ago it would shut down while it still had more than 30% charge. Yesterday, it start shutting down while it still had more than 40% charge. It seems that Google--the progressive, neoliberal, oh-so-politically correct company--is behaving like a rapacious multinational corporation to needlessly impose obsolescence as a means to force their customers to buy newer models while the older equipment is still otherwise functional.
