John Mueller who is a Webmaster Trends Analyst at Google says try to rank your site in other countries except the USA.All the people are targeting the USA that is becoming more competitive with time.
Try to target other countries like the UK, Canada and Australia where there is less competition with the equal revenue opportunity.You can target any country in Google Console.
