This feels pretty close to what the start of recovering my trust would look like. Long road from here ofc.
I give it a 7/10, ie it unequivocally opposes bias rather than saying “This was work to counteract bias, maybe we went a little too far but we’re proud to have tried” which I’ve seen from scandals at other companies.
It seems easiest going forward for me to judge future versions on fairly extreme examples, because I need a very high level of neutrality to restore trust, and extreme examples zoom in on that part of response space.
Like if you want a very high standard of free speech in a country, easiest to evaluate it by finding the most extreme permissible speech, which immediately delineates the boundary, rather than doing some kind of broad survey to combine many factors.
