Google's new search feature lets you search offline

Whether you're a regular traveler reading the news on an unstable network, a farmer looking for product prices, but no connection in the fields, or just going through a tunnel, it's not hard to get your search interrupted by a bad connection. With this new feature of the Google search application for Android, even if your search fails, you'll receive the results as soon as the connection is restored.

Mobile networks may be inconsistent or unstable, and sometimes even if you have a connection when you start your search, it may fail before you get your results. With this change, search results are saved as soon as they are retrieved, even if you lose your connection later or enter airplane mode.

The next time you lose service, you can queue up your searches, leave your mobile phone away, and continue with your chores. The Google app will work behind the scenes to detect when the connection is available again and give you the search results as they are complete.

Battery and internet savings

If you're worried about data consumption or the duration of your battery, rest assured. This feature will consume no more power and, when fetching pages for simplified search results, it will impact minimally on data usage.

In order for you to use this new feature in your Google search tool on your smartphone, simply update the app through the Play Store.
