I still see some crypto ICO AdWords ads in search results so it cant just be a blanket ban or they getting around it by only bidding on brand terms and not generic terms that google has flaffed

Yeah, people have been overreacting to this a little. Everyone sees it as a targeted attack on crypto because Facebook and Google are scared. Google's market cap is about double the combined market cap of all crypto, I do not think they are feeling ANY pressure from us. But I think they will one day.

I saw your post in Kryptonia and very glad to see you there. I'm new to crypto since coming to steemit and it sure is a wild ride.
My niche is weight loss and health and I've been at this about eight years now. I keep this information in a few posts a week and in all my footers. But for the most part at steemit I'm posting into challenges since if I don't the post does not get any attention. This is after 8 months and with 3K+ in followers.
I try not to worry about prices here, but have dropped a lot of balls aside from steemit. Very perplexing!
As far as ads for coins - I completely agree they should not be allowed. I'm in Thailand and see no ads for anything on any platform now - just a few in Thai sometimes I can easily ignore. This makes the location very pleasant!
