Google Maps adds the speedometer in the US and some EU countries

Google Maps implements a function that is already present on some competing applications such as Waze; we're talking about the speedometer that will show us the velocity during navigation.

This feature was introduced after adding a feature that demonstrates the information on speed limits and speed cameras we find during navigation, but now we can handle our speed better thanks to the speed meter that allows us to view velocity driving speed even on the smartphone.

You can activate or deactivate this feature of the live speedometer in the navigation panel in the Google Maps Settings menu. After activating the feature and setting the direction to travel, you will see your travel velocity through the tiny circular velocity meter at the bottom left.

It is not yet certain that the feature operates in tandem with that of the speed limit that has been lately introduced, but it will definitely be a small question. The speedometer is presently not Android Auto compatible, but it is likely to be updated in the future.

The new feature is currently being introduced in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and other EU nations. The update will be gradual, so for a few more days you may not get the fresh feature.
