Google Earth has helped archaeologists find ancient buildings in Saudi Arabia

Archeologists David Kennedy with the help of Google Earth found around 400 stone buildings in the West of Saudi Arabia. The mysterious structures are located on the volcanic field Kharat Khaibar and covered with a layer of lava.

The exact purpose of the buildings remains unknown. Kennedy calls them the "gates". When looking from the top of the structure resemble the letter "P". The researcher also notes that unlike the structure of a house or tomb.

The large structure reaches a length of 518 meters, the smallest is 13 meters. Scientists suggest that "gate" could build the ancestors of the modern Bedouin of about 2 to 9 thousand years ago.
