THE LAW

Amplified Bible Romans 3:19 Now we know that whatever the Law [of Moses] says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that [the excuses of] every mouth may be silenced [from protesting] and that all the world may be held accountable to God [and subject to His judgment].
• the law was given to the children of Israel, so except you are a Jew, you have no business with this covenant of the law.
• the law was given so that no man will have an excuse, and will be held accountable before God.
Romans 3:20 For no person will be justified [freed of guilt and declared righteous] in His sight by [trying to do] the works of the Law. For through the Law we become conscious of sin [and the recognition of sin directs us toward repentance, but provides no remedy for sin].
• you cannot be made right with God by obeying the law.
• the law is meant to point you to Christ the actual remedy for sin.
• the law is like a mirror showing you that you have ketchup splattered across your face, but it can't help you get it off.
New Living Translation Romans 3:28 So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY THING THAT SAVES A MAN, NOT WHAT THE MAN HAS DONE, IS DOING OR WOULD DO!!!
