The House passed a stop-gap funding bill. Only 127 Republicans voted for it. The Senate is expected to back it and Biden is expected to sign it. Government shutdown averted till January/February.
I think we can start the clock on if Mike Johnson will outlast a head of lettuce.
Joking a bit here. Gaetz fwiw said he's fine with this stop gap bill, even though he was against it when McCarthy wanted to do it. So these goons aren't the most consistent bunch. The lettuce countdown may have to wait for the next big kerfuffle.
