US Government Potential Shutdown

So I am reading and watching the news about the potential government shutdown and I see total irony in this. Do you all know that even if the government shuts down that the members of the US Senate and US House of Representatives still receive their normal pay, perks, and housing allotments!!! If the company I work for, suspended my work/department, I would not receive my pay check. How is this encouraging for them to strike a deal, and also as a tax paying American, in turn I am paying their salaries to essentially not do their job! Shaking my head in disgust! Comments????
