Grameenphone today purchased five MHz radio waves at Spectrum auction organized by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission on Tuesday.
Grameenphone's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Michael Folly said, "Grameenphone has reached a firm position in providing the best 4G service through the most modern network of the country due to the new spectrum being added to our technology neutral spectrum."
The 1800 MHz band has further strengthened the top spot due to the purchase of the most effective spectrum in the form of FourG / LTE and the new Spectrum of Grameenphone.
Grameenphone has modernized its network, so its customers can download uninterrupted HD video and live TV streaming, shiny video calls and download very quickly. For enjoying the modern network, customers are requested to take the FourGM SIM by changing the 3G SIM.
Grameenphone CEO thanked BTRC, Telecommunication Ministry and Bangladesh Government for successfully completing Spectrum auction and sought help in spreading a standard 4G network across the country. He said, by organizing this auction, the government has made a further step forward in implementing Digital Bangladesh.
