When was the last time you listened to gramophone records?
Probably there was a while, and if we ask some young generations their answer would most likely be never.
But the gramophone records are becoming more and more popular and many people, even if they do not have a gramophone, still keep gramophone records at home.
Some of them are selling records, and the most interesting are from the 70s and 80s, especially if you have some popular rock, jazz or blues record from that time.
At home we have gramophone record used for another type of art. Israeli artist Aric Schneider used it as inspiration for one of his painting.
Biggest gramophone store is in the Netherlands and even now some singers with taped CD require LP vinyl record as well.
But if your gramophone breaks, to buy a used one is the best solution, cause the new one costs between 200 and 300 euros, and the used one you can find for 100 euros. Price of a vinyl record in Zagreb is around 13 euros.
What is the future of gramophones, are they gonna be completely forgotten or we will listen the gramophone pin scruple the gramophone again?
Today the young generation is buried with digital media and they discovered gramophone records over the internet and stores that are selling used records. So, they might find something interesting in that way of enjoying music, and older people like to remember vinyl, after all it's the media that marked their youth.
I don't. I never actually did tho. But I do cherish some of my fathers records from when he was young.
