Hi guys it's me again @jezmacher giving you some tips and tutorial how to make a magical graphic design lay-out using Gimp 2.8 . I'm not a professional graphic designer, I learn this technique via watching video tutorial on youtube.com
So here's the thing we should do.

First, before adding the image go to the file menu select and it will pop up after for you to select the dimension of file. I choose 1760 pixels for width and 800 pixels for the height.

Simply drag the image from your folder directly to gimp

mag1.PNG

after dragging resize your image if you want by using the scale layer tool at tool box scale.PNG

then add the second image doing the same process by simply dragging. At this time I used my personal picture and I am going to cut the background later.

mag2.PNG

I want to adjust the contrast or curved level color of my image to make it more crisps. Just go to color menu on the top and select the curve. the first adjustment arrow indicates to adjust the darkness and next to it is the brightness.

mag3.PNG

Now we are going to remove and cut the background manually using the different tools. but before that go to layers and brushes menu click the image you want to work with then right click and look for add alpha channel then click, and repeat by choosing the alpha to selection in second time. this process allows you to remove the background layer in transparency mode.

Then to remove the background here are the tools that we can use to remove it the eraser tool mag5.PNGand free selection toolmag6.PNG free selection is like is point to point selection and you can any images inside if you connect your last point to the first point.

If you're done removing the background and you want to move it in proper position? just use the moving tool in tool box menu by clicking this icon ma9.PNG

Now I want to add effect on the image itself by simply dragging again your third image.

This time what we only need is the magic dust, so we have to remove the black background. Do the same process before removing. Go to layer and brushes section. click the image layer select add alpha channel and click again then choose alpha to selection. Now it is easy to remove the background by using the select by color tool ma3.PNG just click this icon and click the color you want to remove. Because we don't need the background simply click the color black then click delete using you keypad. then go to select menu on the top just click none.

ma4.PNG

if you're done you can adjust the size by following the process of scale layering above.

To save your final lay-out go to file menu and click save or export.

Now here is the final lay-out we made.. Now you can try making your own magical graphic design.
