Hello Teacher,

Thank you for bringing us into another phase of the class. I am sure this is a pure practical of all we have learned so far. Let me share my knowledge as well through this homework.

Discuss your understanding about Typography

Typography is the way of putting letters and text in a way that makes it visually appealing, legible, and clear enough to the reader. It is what brings the text to life; it also involves font style and appearance, which aim to convey a message and emotions.

In another way, typography can also be said to be the visual aspect of type. Beyond that, it can be used to convey a certain mood or pass a message. However, we can use various types and font styles to achieve this. Some people make some common mistakes of using the wrong typeface for a particular kind of design or using too many typefaces or fonts in a single design just to be creative.

Well, every good designer knows that a single typeface can be used; they have a clear understanding about it. In addition, principles like hierarchy, alignment, whitespace, emphasis, and others are key when dealing with the subject of typography. They help the user give their best when they are rightly applied in design work.

Research 3 other typeface categories not captured in this lesson. Talk about them and also give a visual representation of the typefaces

Typeface is a specific collections of related fonts.

Monospaced font, also referred to as a fixed-pitch, or a non-proportional font, is a font whose each letters and characters occupy the same amount of horizontal space.

Handwriting fonts, usually look exactly like they've been written by hand. It has different kinds of styles like; cursive, swirly, rugged or with long tails—they convey different emotions with beautiful styles and set the mood for the design. I love using these fonts in making designs.

Display fonts: Display fonts or screen fonts are typefaces designed to gain attention and make a stand-out design. They are often used to create headlines or titles.

Demonstrate your understanding of Typography just like I have done with my four example using the following guidelines below

Looking at the images above, you can tell that I implied the principles of graphic designs.

• The images shows different fonts/typeface sizes at work and weight such as bold and light.

• I have used colors as Emphasis.

• The use of different alignments; to the left, right and center is obvious.

• I have also used font/typeface category combination.

• I used Whitespace to allow all elements not to get chocked up.

I wish to invite some friends @nehela @ubongudofot @goodybest to try this out!

¡Saludos amiga!🤗

Thank you so much

Your examples beautifully showcase different typefaces and effective use of color and alignment. 🎨👏 I’m sure your friends will enjoy participating in this creative journey! Keep up the fantastic work! 💪😊
