Discuss your understanding about Typography.

We do various designs in the field of graphic design. In a design we use the color wheel, use colors that match the content, but the text that is written or seen in a design is typography. Having a design typography is very important because it gives the design a context. Better to say, if a design does not have typography, we can call it a picture or an art. Typography matters in design. If you have a good understanding of typography, master typography and use it properly, you can be known as a designer. Typography is the art of using text in a design. A designer communicates with others through typography. A great designer will fail if there is no proper typography used.
Trying to explain the importance of typography in design with the help of a funny example. A handsome boy or gorgeous girl who is attractive and beautiful from head to toe. But after you talk to him or her, you realize that his or her communication power, speech is not impressive. Then that handsome girl or boy will feel valueless to you. Here handsome people are beautiful designs and typography is their talk. So if your typography is not good, your design will also be worthless. Typography must be readable.

"Typography must be as beautiful as a forest, not like the concrete jungle of the tenements. It gives distance between the trees, the room to breathe and allow for life." -Adrian Frutiger

Research 3 other typeface categories not captured in this lesson. Talk about them and also give a visual representation of the typefaces.

Before researching the 3 typeface categories I want to share what typefaces and fronts mean.To be very honest, I had no idea about typeface but now my concept is clear after this lesson. Let me tell you that typeface and front aren’t same. As a student of Zoology I want to explain this in my way. Okay, **Typeface is smilier to family of animals and In a family there are so many species. Like felidae is a family and The family Felidae consists of 41 extant species. Such as tiger, leopard, Caracal even Cats. So here typeface is like family and fronts are it’s species. Let's reseach 3 other typeface categories not captured in this lesson.

1.Monospaced

Monospace typefaces – also known as fixed-width or non-proportional fonts.
This is a unique section of typeface where each letter occupies the same amount of horizontal space which is less common in other typefaces. Narrow letters like "I,T,J" take the same width on screen in monospaced fonts as wide letters like "M,W,K" take in this typeface. This type of writting always attract readers. Some Monspace fypeface fronts are

  • Roboto Mono
  • Rubik mono (used in my provided design)
  • Fira code
  • Courier
  • Consolas
  • And many more

2. Display

We are very familiar with this typeface and fronts. Display typefaces are specially designed for use at large sizes. Such as on headlines, posters and signboards. These are the ones I use for cover photos on Steemit posts. Display typefaces are created to create a visual impact, often featuring more elaborate, decorative or distinctive design elements. Some display fypeface fronts are

  • Impact
  • Bodoni Poster
  • Bisdak (used in my provided design)
  • Cooper Black
  • Lobster
  • And many more

3.Handwritten

Handwritten typefaces are fonts designed to resemble human handwriting. These fonts are designed to look as if they were created by hand, be it with a pen, brush or marker. These typefaces bring a personal, informal, and often creative touch to design, making them popular in cool applications. Some Monspace fypeface fronts are

  • Pacifico
  • Finger paint (used in my provided design)
  • Dancing Script
  • Aloja
  • knewave
  • And many more

Demonstrate your understanding of Typography just like I have done with my four example using the following guidelines below.

As your colleague already knew, you are talented in the graphic and design fields, and this assignment demonstrates your mastery of the subject. I appreciate the invitation, and I will submit my entry shortly. Wish you all the best!

¡Holaaa amiga!🤗

Hello pea07, am.captivated by your zeal to learn, am amazed at how you took the correction and worked on the designs again. The result is much more better than what you did at first. Weldone dear.

Your understanding of typography is nice! 🎨 I love how you articulated its importance in graphic design typography does breathe life into visuals. Your analogy comparing attractive designs to beautiful people is clever and highlights that without effective communication, even the most stunning designs can fall flat.I appreciate your research on monospaced, display, and handwritten typefaces! The way you explain them helps clarify their unique roles in design. Keep up the great work! 🚀✨
