[Summary Report] SEC20/WK6: Graphic Design Hands - On practical 3.

Hello students, I trust it has been an interesting and adventurous journey for you in the last 6 weeks. No doubt you enjoyed the class, I also did myself, its a privilege to share with others what I know how to do and I know you all have benefitted from the lessons.

The last task for this season is of course the biggest test of all which was aimed at testing how much you understand the lesson taught so far. At first I thought I wasn't gonna get much entry for this task since I was leaving my students to figure out things themselves without having to spoon-feed them...

But guess what, you all swept me off my feet with your creative ability which is one of the most important virtue a graphic designer must possess. Although some of you didn't give the best of result due to a little shortcoming here and there but you sure proved you knew what you were doing.

Homework Task for last week

• Create a beautiful design to celebrate your successful completion of your 6 weeks course on Graphic Design.

• Be as detailed as possible by showing every step from start to finish

• Discuss about every principle you engaged in making the design.

• Avoid copying other people's ideas, be creative. In addition, label your screenshot with your username.

I want to specially commend every student who took part in the homework task, I could tell from the entries that y'all did your best, I just could not hide the feeling of excitement that followed even as I took my time to review the entry of each and every one of you.

But you know we all cannot emerged as top 5, I had to careful sieve out the top 5 out of the many outstanding post I had for the week. Trust me, it was such a sensitive task for me because everyone attempted it to the best of their ability.

However, here are some of these things that deprive some of the participants from making it to the top 5 are;

• Some of the participants failed to communicate a very clear message with their design

• Some other communicated with their design but with insufficient information.

• Many other communicated perfectly well with their design capturing every necessary Information but fell short in the area of beauty and aesthetics which is key.

In spite of all these deficiencie, I still ensured I encouraged each and everyone of them with a good grade just to tell how much I appreciate their effort because we all are on a journey to "becoming" and should be encouraged all the way.

Notwithstanding, we have 5 top entries out of the many beautiful entries that came in. These participants singled out themselves by ensuring they leveraged on the areas where many overlooked just as captured above to emerge as the top 5.
