"SLC21/WK6: Summary on Lessons so far [Hands-on Practical]

Greetings to you friends and welcome here. So far so good I am pleased to share with you the summary of the hands-on practical from the beginning of the lessons to the end of the lessons. Before going into that I would like to use this medium to say a very big thank you to an able professor who is no other person than @lhorgic who has enlightened me more on graphic design. Having said that let me begin by summarising what I have so far learned from this SLC21/WK1 to SLC21/WK5.

Summary of the Lessons

• Lesson 1: Introduction to Gradients and Application

In this lesson, I learned about Gradients and Application, the type of gradients which the topic helps and exposes me to other types of gradients aside from the ones that were taught by the professor himself. "Gradient is a design element that is made up of colors that gradually fade into other colors". In the lesson, I learned a lot as I was able to apply my knowledge into real practice which helped me to provide the design you are seeing below 👇.

• Lesson 2: Introduction to Logo Design

In this lesson, I learned about Logo Design which the lesson exposed me to a lot of things about the creation (design) of the logo. In the lesson, I was made to understand that "Logo design is the art and science of creating a visual symbol or mark that represents a product, brand, service or company.

This lesson helps me to understand and know the appropriate way that I can apply the six core elements of effective logo design. I also learned about the types of logo design and the do`s and don't when designing a logo With the help of the lesson I was able to design a logo for my e-commerce business which you are seeing below 👇.

• Lesson 3 Logo Design - Part 2

In this lesson, we lay more emphasis on the various types of logos and make some differentiation between these logos, we also discussed where we can apply each of these logos to provide optimal results since logos play an important role in representing brands. At the end of the lessons I was able to create two types of logos (Wordmark Logotype and Combination Mark) I further used the design that I created to design a simple flyer for my brand which you can see below 👇.

• Lesson 4: "Mockups in Design and Application"

In this lesson, mockups and how we can use them to optimize our design and a lot more were the content of the discussion. In the lesson, I learned that "mockups" are visual representations of a design that showcase how the product will look in its final stage. The lesson helped me to practically put my knowledge into practical steps and I was able to use markup design to promote Steemit which can be seen in the above.

• Lesson 5 Hands-On Practical

In this lesson, the professor taught us how we can practically make a flier design for brands/businesses with clearer steps that anyone who reads through his post, will be able to reproduce or learn easily from his approach in making a good design as he does. The homework task that was given taught me a lot I was able to put all that I learned from the professor into real practice and design a flyer for my upcoming restaurant business which you can see below 👇.
