Grasses in flower

People often think grasslands are boring in contrast to forests although they actually support a greater biodiversity than forests do and you are required to get down and look to see the plant and insect life that they contain. In the height of summer they just look, well, green but as autumn approaches, the grasses put on their own show as they start flowering. Although grass pollen is also wind-dispersed, I find that I am much less allergic to grass pollen than to flower pollen.

Unfortunately, I suck at identifying grasses and they are difficult to photograph without a decent macro lens so the next two are just distance shots to give an idea of the effect the flowering grasses create

I do know the name of this one, it's Redtop grass, although it comes in both white and red. It's lovely close-up but so difficult to capture as it moves constantly in every tiny little breeze on the hilltop and the air up there is never still.

I'm really hoping the crypto markets improve soon as I would love to get my hands on a decent camera and macro lens for this kind of thing. That's no. 1 on my list if there's any spare cash to come in

I like meadows and fields.
My opinion is that there are no ugly places.

I haven't seen an ugly natural place. As for the thing that people do...

I agree with you!
When we walk in the park with my girlfriend and her children, we find trash.
It makes me so angry! Here are pigs !!!
Children my girlfriend collect it.

Very nice and soft scenery making it very beautiful.
