Last night we took time out to have dinner together. Our schedules have not been good for seeing each other lately. And I took the initiative to ask Mama Bear for a date night. Letting her have the choice she decided on Applebee's and we left the house around 7 PM for a quiet dinner.
Paradise had the Seafood
Stir-fry shrimp and veggies are tossed in a sweet and spicy dumpling sauce, served over a bed of rice and topped with wonton strips.
Mama Bear had the Ribs
Half Rack. Slow-cooked to fall off the bone tenderness. Slathered with your choice of sauce: - Spicy Texas BBQ sauce - Honey BBQ sauce Served with 2 sides.
We were both hungry and made two choices off the 2 for $25 menu items. Martha ordered the BBQ Baby Back Ribs, and I being a Seafood lover, choose the Shrimp Wonton Stir-Fry. We both had the wonderful house garden salad with ranch dressing.
Both had the fresh garden salad
Freshly mixed greens, cucumbers, diced tomatoes, cheese and croutons with your choice of dressing
Our waitress was very nice and we had a great time. And to top the night off, we were seated next to an old co-worker of mine I hadn't seen since retirement. So we had a chance to catch up. Paradise was very grateful for a nice evening, with good food and excellent company!!
