#gratefulvibes - Praising GOD even when in pain and in deep worry

Today, I just saw how terrible my daughter a while ago. I saw how her eyes directed upward and not moving. She was not responsive and stopped chilling, but her fever was still too high, it rose up to 40 degrees Celsius. She was having a terrible convulsion, I thought she was going to die. :-( I as a mother, no matter how tough and strong I knew I am, that thing made me very vulnerable and proved that I am still human, I am not a super woman with magical powers or something. My human nature manifested in an instant the moment I held her motionless, I shouted and panicked, so with my nanay, we were all caught unaware, we did everything to catch the attention of our neighbors, several came to our unit to help us. Some went to accompany my eldest go to the gate to get a tricycle, our good neighbor, got out of their house, motioned us into his car and drove us right away to the nearest hospital. I was still in panic, crying, I was not able to bring anything with me except my motionless and still feverish baby and my cell phone. I am still in my "pambahay" clothes and I almost forgot to wear my slippers.

Our good Samaritan neighbors, even stayed with us until my Carleign's condition was stable, they have injected her dextrose, get a blood sample and interviewed me. I was still crying and I'm so confused why we're there seeing my baby crying and still chilling due to high fever. My eldest came about several minutes and I gave her my instructions on what to bring back later on. Our neighbor again offered to take her back home with them when my baby settled down. I was left alone with her in the emergency room, wiping her forehead with a wet cloth, so glad I was able to get it with me I don't even know how I got it.

I am writing this entry today because I believe that I need to thank God in everything. He had said that in His word, "in everything, give thanks". And giving thanks and praise to God even when pain and deeper worry is an attitude of gratitude. We do not praise God only when everything is perfect and in order. We do not give thanks to God only when we are trouble less and enjoying our comfort zones. I am not saying that I am praising God because my baby is sick and we are in the hospital. What I am saying is I still praise God in spite of us being here because, there are a lot of things to thank God for. It is hard and even impossible to thank God now, humanly speaking, but by God's grace, I can still praise and thank Him. ❤️ :-) I am not dwelling on this negative circumstance now, but instead, I praise God in everything. I will quote the verse in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 which says "in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." New American Standard Bible version

So today, I still praise and thank God in spite of watching my daughter a while ago bearing the pain of all those injections, nurses coming in and out extracting her blood sample, and inserting suppository to make her fever gone. I praise and thank God for my good and kind neighbor offering a free and timely ride to the hospital. I pray that God will give them back a thousand fold for their kindness towards us. I praise and thank God for the kind and compassionate nurses who assisted us. I praise and thank God for the free and accessible wifi because I was able to write this post. I praise and thank God for steemit because I was able to accumulate some sbd and transferred it to my bitcoin wallet to use it later on for paying our hospital bills. I hope and pray that it will be sufficient enough. I praise and thank God too that even if I am no longer able to attend to our grand reunion tonight, I know that all my friends will be there to discuss everything for the next reunion, as our batch will be the host, next year. I was hoping to see @bloghound later, but this happened. I am so sad not joining you guys, but see you all soon, by God's grace. ❤️ :-) There are a lot of things, more and the list could go and on, for me to thank God for. That for me is the very essence of being grateful. ❤️ :-)

As a mother, I am in deep pain now and worried about my daughter's condition. I am really worried and my heart goes out to my baby. I hate to see her in pain and crying tears rolling down her cheeks. I have prayed and pleaded God a thousand times to take whatever sickness she have and just transfer it to me. I'd rather be ill than any of my family members. The cbc, urine and x-ray results were still in process. I am praying for a negative result of whatever that may be, a result that my daughter is in good condition and that nothing serious or bad or a good news that we will spend our new year at home not in here. ❤️ :-)
