Food can make you feel sluggish 🌧

in gratitude •  7 years ago

Dear food diary,
Yesterday I went against my usual breakfast routine and I added dry milk (peak milk) in my oatmeal. For the rest of the day I was very sluggish and tired. I would not stop yawning all day. Even though I had 6 hours of sleep at night, It felt like I only had 3.
I grew up drinking Nido and peak milk with no problems, but now I have to cut it out as an adult. Some times chocolate would produce a similar reaction from my body.

It is not always easy to point out the foods that make you sluggish/tired. To do it you have to stick to a fixed diet for a couple of days and take note of how you feel after everything you eat.
Then eliminate some items and or add new ones. It gives you a good idea of what really works for you.

But know yourself, listen to your body and be grateful guys. I appreciate my heart for beating all damn day and my organs for working together to keep me alive. The least I can do is take care of myself to help my organs and show God that I'm grateful for everything he does to keep me alive.

Thanks for sharing. I like all but 1 item on your list. A lot of the poultry is poorly raised and grown too fast with hormones be god knows what else. I watched a couple of documentaries and that's all it took for me to loose my interest in eggs and chicken. I try to consume smaller amounts and only organic. I know they probably use the eggs in many other products that I might consume without knowing...

You are absolutely right! I should have added that it should be fair-trade, free-range eggs. Much better ... cheers

Have you tried using plant milk or just simple water? They're much better alternatives that won't make one feel gross! :)

I drink teas now and the difference is unbelievable.

Drink dry milk (peak milk) with oatmeal after doing the effort, means when you rest

Ok
