Day 13:) Expression that can make you Happier

How do you feel when someone appreciates your work? How do you feel when someone is really interested to know how’s your life been? How do you feel when a total stranger helps you?

We experience it’s a miracle and are very delighted. But when the same known person, after some time, doesn’t help us for any reason we generally become sad or even angry without understanding their perspective.

Everyone feels good to be appreciated, but ironically, we don’t put efforts to praise others. I learned the culture of appreciation more at my work place.

In the month of August, I attended a conference on Kindness where the honorable President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, requested the young generation to write 3 things every night for which they feel gratitude. Why is it important to express gratitude?

When we express gratitude, we are forming a long term bonding with the person. A recognition can light up anyone. People remember feel good moments. Don’t you remember the person who appreciated you recently?

Similarly, we should express gratitude towards oneself and our body parts too. More then 3 Crore people in India are physically challenged. Generally, we don’t care about the things that we have and think particularly about the ones we don’t have.

We should be grateful to our parents who has brought up and shaped our life in every way. There are many more people whom we should be grateful.

Being thankful to little things in life also help us cure many health issues. Hope I’m able to add the flavor of appreciativeness in your colorful life :)
