Once you are married, you never run out of topics to talk about. Yeah, you keep talking as the days and years go by and you continue to know events of the past that you never discussed while dating.
Mother in-law and I
So, my mother in-law is around and while we were all discussing, this topic came up; "2001 BOMB BLAST IN LAGOS" it happened that the blast happened not too far from where my wife, siblings and parents reside at the time. It was such a terrible ordeal as they narrated and only survived by God's grace alone. As everyone was running into safety, many actually ran into their untimely Death either through stampede or into the canal.
My wife lost some of her friends that day, hence she realized she and family only made it by God's mercy. As they all ran for safety her mum had a safe place in mind, just they took of on their heels they saw a man about to move with his family in a car. They begged this man for a ride, but was reluctant. After several persuasion, my wife and her three siblings entered the car, but no more space for their mum. Mum was ready to give her life for theirs, but my wife insisted she squeezed herself in or they all come down.
The man was impatient, somehow Mum squeezed herself in and God so good, the man was heading the exact direction My wife's mum hoped for safety, and that's how God spared their lives. Indeed i am grateful for this, else i wouldn't have come across this awesome lady, that's now my wife.

Happy Children's Day.
Yes we are all children. Because no matter how old you are, you were conceived by someone and your parents still sees you as such.
[Wife and panelist]
It was a pleasant experience today as my church Harvest House Christian Centre celebrated this event awesomely for the children and teenagers. They all presented wonderfully well and both parents and children learnt stuffs from the talk show. I am grateful to God i was in town to witness it.
I do know i am a great father and husband, but i learnt today from other experienced parents to get better at carrying out responsibilities.
I don't beat for every little thing, but i have also learnt that the best was to correct a child is to engage them, let them know what they have done and the reason for why they are been punished.
Its also important that we model the right things to them. Don't just tell them what to do, ensure you show them what to do by teaching through examples. Kids learn more by observation and hence we ought to model it by what we do daily.
Parenting comes with alot of sacrifices and hence, you might have to give up watching some kinds of television channels in the presence of your kids.
I am grateful for this day, grateful for my church bringing this to us and grateful i am getting better forward always.

The goal is to challenge you to make a blog post about something you are grateful for. It could be big or small. It doesn't matter. Little things matter. I'll be doing this for 62 days (62 is not a random number). It's not an endurance game, you can join in anytime you want and opt out anytime you want."
