Gratitude Day 24 of 62: Grateful for a successful wedding ceremony.

This is #gratitudeday24 and it keeps getting better forward. Reminiscing on the things God has done over the past few days has been awesome.

If there is anything i am loved for in my family, it is the fact that i do not take anything anyone does for me for granted. I am always grateful for every little thing. And i believe its the reason why i keep getting blessed. Its the reason i am the center of attraction. Its the reason i keep getting blessed by my siblings more and more.

Wifey and I

I got married in the year 2015, prior to that time, i have always said i do not like borrowing and hence, i will not borrow a dime to do my wedding ceremony. Yes! There is actually no need to try to want to impress anybody. Don't be surprised the people you are trying to impress are not even looking at you.

Family

I made this decision and stuck to it. I worked towards it too and God made it happen for me.
The wedding was getting close and and several things were not in place but i just kept calm all through the period. I don't really like asking for things. I get shy if i have to.

I made sure everything i had to fix for my wife was all settled. I went to Lagos Nigeria with my best of shoes incase i didn't get a new one.
On the week of the wedding all my friends who new they wouldn't make it started sending financial contributions. I had to quickly settle my vendors.

My elders sister asked what was left, i told her nothing. She pressed further to ask about my shoe, i told her i brought one from Ibadan. "my church shoe as i call it". She said i wasn't serious and gave me money for shoe. Lol, i spent it on something else more pressing, she was so vexed with me, but gave me another cash to get the shoe which i finally got.

Siblings

I am grateful for the gift of good siblings who ensured all things fall in place specially. And that was God working through man.

Guess what, its 3years now and my colleagues in the office still talk about the wedding. How they have never attended such a wedding organized and food in surplus.

I owe my gratitude to God for not putting us to shame and giving us a glorious wedding. Of cause, our marriage life is sweet too.
