Grateful Day 37

in gratitudeday37 •  7 years ago  (edited)

Not a day goes by that we shouldn't be grateful, for been alive daily is worthy of been grateful. If you haven't been to the hospital, you may not appreciate life, if you haven't seen others who pay huge amount just to breathe, you may not understand how much it means to stay alive. One week exactly, I was really down with sickness, malaria was the nature, if it were not for my stubbornness, I would have been admitted at the hospital, for it was acute malaria, so I was admitted at home. I'm not the type that gets sick, so you should know my worry and that of my Parents, especially now that I'm home for holiday. On Friday/Saturday last week was the worst day of my life, it started with Friday night been the longest, against my nocturnal self, I went to bed around 10pm. In my head, I would have slept for more than five hours, but when I woke up it was just few minutes to 12 midnight, you can imagine my frustration.....then all of my body became to ache me, and it was even accompanied with fever and headache. I had to place a cold towel to my head, to make the headache stop. The night was terrible, and the day still won't break.
Fast forward to today, I'm back to myself, almost at 100% of health and everything is calm now. But I can't stop to imagine, how those in hospital would be feeling, or how those that have serious health issues are feeling. My heart really prays for them, that healing comes their way and they find peace in their journey.

  • So I'm grateful for my life, for been back to health.
  • I'm also grateful for the launching of my new show Around the world
It gives me so much excitement, the feedback has been awesome and I'm really excited about it. The first edition comes up on Sunday and I'm quite happy about it, even though, it scares me sometimes, but they say if your dream doesn't scare you enough, it's not big enough. So I'm quite cool with this kind of scare.

And that's my gratitude story for today, tell us yours.
