GRATITUDE DAY: WORKING ON MYSELF

in gratitudeday52 •  7 years ago  (edited)

For some days now I've been feeling really bad. It seems like each day, something comes up from nowhere to add up to the myriads of my problems and all these even infuriate me the more. It's so bad that when you ask me what exactly the problem is, I won't be able to give you any concrete reason why I'm upset, I've never been in this kind of dilemma before.

Most times, I sit all by myself and either read or surf the net and since it's World cup season, some evenings, I just go to a close by viewing centre just to watch football match and cheer myself up. Some of the guys thought I'm football lover, if only they knew the hell I was going through.

I was running away from depression, self-pity, drying my own tears. Lemme digress a little, I hate to see African football team out of the world cup, after being so optimistic about this season's world cup (Story for another day shaa).

Just today, I sat and asked myself questions that needed answers, which are "can my anger or sadness change anything? No "can I then make myself happier?'' Yes.

But really I thought to myself "Why will I be sulking over spilled milk and transferring aggression on people?" Oh God! I've tried many times to avoid transferring my aggression on innocent person but I wouldn't rather blame myself because I do those things unconsciously.

Today I decided to stop letting shitty things bother me and grateful for that. It is a choice I've made today. I don't want to be that fierce person everybody will readily detest and do away with. I love having people around so, I'm working on usurping my mood and remaining happy for me and people around me.

Thanks to @tojukaka for this opportunity to share my gratitude
