A big step towards happiness is grattitude.
Grattitude for the things we perceive as both negative and positive. It's important to be grateful for the the agreement we made whether it was a joyful or painful one because it is what we wanted to experience even if the ego might not agree. It's somewhat easier to be grateful for the gifts and the people who do things for us and the things we like.. it is harder to find grattitude for the experiences we found painful and to thank it for showing you what you wanted to feel rather than to feel like a victim of circumstance. However by finding gratitude for all experiences we are coming back to the heart and acknowledging our role as conscious creators of our reality and oneness. By accepting what is without judgment we can come to a state of presence where the inate joy resides. By attatching to an experience and judging it bad or good we are identifying with it and allowing the highs and lows of life to continue, with accpetance and grattitude we can move deeper into presence which, is where the only really sustaining joy can be found.
life is about attitude and the best attitude is gratitude, we have to learn each day to be grateful for all that we have, from friends, family, life, shelter , health even the small things that we take for granted
