1913: The Second Balkan War begins with an attack from Bulgaria on Serbia and Greece.

1920: The Battle of Kerasounta takes place in Pontos. The Greek Army occupies Soma – Keresoun and Aivali – Kemer.

1945: Aris Velouchiotis, communist guerrilla leader of ELAS and pedophile, is executed. His head later hangs from a lamp post, in the central square of the town of Trikala, along with head of Javellas.

1964: The Centre Union and National Radical Union vote down the proposal by United Democratic Left for the establishment of a Committee of Inquiry for the purchase of land plots in Nea Makri by former Prime Minister Konstantinos Karamanlis.
