Explore With Me: Beaches Of Mount Pelion

in greektrail •  7 years ago  (edited)

Welcome steemians! Today I’ll give you a small taste of three beautiful greek beaches around Pelion Mountain in Thessaly. The shots were taken last year on a motorbike trip around the mountain…

Our first stop is Damouchari, a beach formed by two small gulfs.

Here is the first one…

And this is the second one…

I must tell you the view was amazing. No people were around at that time and the only thing we could hear was the sound of the waves as they swept away the smalls pebbles on the beach…

The perfect place to take a nap, with the sweet lullaby of the sea in your ears…

Next stop Fakistra beach, another beautiful gulf surrounded by tall rocks and a beach full of sand and stones.

There were clouds in the sky, so the sun would hide for a few moments giving this gloomy atmosphere from time to time.

Considering that we went on that trip exactly one year ago, in the beginning of autumn, it looked as if nature had already been disappointed for saying farewell to summer...

And our final destination, Mylopotamos beach. An amazing place with blue waters and surrounding rocks that give you the illusion of swimming in a hidden safe spot.

The waves were quite fierce on that day...

...creating the perfect set for professional photoshoot (too bad I'm not a professional and I only take pictures with my smartphone, but I hope you like my shots).

Everything looks so perfect. Wish I was there with you :(

Maybe next year, honey!

You do have some nice sandy beaches in Greece and better still some that are not crowded with people.

Thank God you can still find a few places if you need the isolation!

nice
