GREENEST THUMBS CORNER #6 - See who joined last week!

in greenestthumb •  7 years ago

Last week some modification/updating in the contest has been going on, as I would like to transform this weekly appointment from a contest with winners into a gathering corner.
Starting from next week, there will be no more winners, only Greenest Thumbs invited to meet regularly, telling their stories and equally sharing the post payout.

I'm happy that two people joined last week, even if I created some confusion by posting three times the same post by mistake! Sorry guys!

If fresh turmeric does not come to British Columbia...(Canada)

Finding fresh turmeric in Canada to prepare Indonesian dishes can often be an issue. But when you are a Green Thumb, like @thekitchenfairy, you eventually end up growing it by yourself with stunning results. If you – just like me – has never seen turmeric but in powder, you’ll be amazed seeing how you can grow the rhizome, dry it and magically turn into powder.

Healing mint in water containers (Philippines)

Meanwhile, on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, and in a different emisphere, a rooftop in the Philippines is being transformed into a vegetables bed. That's because @deeday31 is extremely passionate about mint and its healing properties and recycled water containers to host a collection of mint plants. Gardening can provide so many satisfactions, when you believe so much in what you are growing!

In witness of your love for gardening, it is now my pleasure to proclaim that this week's GREENEST THUMBS are...

As only two persons participated, and there were two available prizes, everyone has been awarded!

I enjoyed both of the entries. @thekitchenfairy's post is completely original, funny and instructive. @deeday31's post is not completely original as a part is copy and pasted from the internet. As the author credited the source and has just landed on Steemit, it will not be excluded from sharing the prize. We are happy that this contest helped you getting started on Steemit.

Last week the (three) contest post(s) generated 1.543 SBD in total payout. I sent half to both the GREENEST THUMBS.

In the next days I'll announce the next Greenest Thumbs gathering. Until then, happy gardening!

Grazie @cryptofarmer !

A support or two from high SP accounts would be great too for this greenest thumbs gathering. But it's not easy pulling them in (to support) 😁

Prego, thank you for participating! Yes, some sponsors who could increase the post payout would be of great help...fingers crossed!

I just used one of your pictures to create the cover photo of the next greenestthumb. Do I have your permission?

Absolutely 👍

Sorry - I didn't make it this week. I started a freewrite challenge and it has been keeping me busy!

Somehow it was still about (paper) leaves! ;-)

hahaha

My crypto farming friend! I like the proposed idea!

Another thought that I had, was to have an announcement post and a conclusion post - double payout! It seems like you will now be trying this out!

This week was particularily tough for me, but seeing these two has made me happy again!

Greenest thumbs live on! ;p

Thank you my friend. Yes, I'll start implement that idea too, splitting the announcement post and the conclusion post.
As soon as I can I'll publish the announcement for a new greenest thumbs gathering!

Fantastic! My promised update should be coming just in time for that one!

thank you soo much! :) Im sorry about getting some parts from the other websites and failed to make my own about the benefits of the mint, it is because i want to impart the knowledge directly to eveyone about the mint inwhich i dont want to make such false reassurance to anybody about its healing effects nevertheless i want to share the main idea of the cited website :) , in anyhow thank you so much! cant wait to post more stories from my rooftop garden and join your #greenestthum challenge :)

Thank you for participating!
I felt that all of your post was in good faith and I appreciated you rooftop very much.
Looking forward to reading your next entries!

p.s. I used one of your pictures to create the cover photo of the next greenestthumb. Do I have your permission?

oh sure ! i am sooo happy knowing that you are appreciating my post! God bless!

Thank you very much, God bless :-)
