Greenwich: Located in the south east of London in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and the largest part of London, the city has a geographical interest. Greenwich divides the land into two halves, half-east and half-west.

  • Greenwich City has been selected globally as a global reference, to determine the timing of cities around the world. When you look at the map of London, you can mark this town in black.

Greenwich is an important place in Britain because of the royal family's interest in the city since the fifteenth century AD, where they built the city's royal palace, where Queen Elizabeth I and King Henry VIII lived. The city also houses several military colleges Specialized in training the British army, especially in the English Navy fleet.

Historic Greenwich Information:
Greenwich has a rich history, with many historic sights and attractive residential neighborhoods. In the 16th century King Henry VIII lived in a palace in Greenwich, but over the years it was removed in the 17th century.

  • One mile to the west of Greenwich, there was the important Deepford dockyard, where the Royal Navy was built and some of its ships were kept there.

  • In the 17th century, King Charles I built a magnificent stone house in Greenwich for the Queen, still known by the same name, and is open to the public as a historic home.

  • Greenwich has an impressive collection of buildings dating from 1695 to 1712. It includes the Greenwich Special Needs Hospital and has some closed buildings that have been used in the Royal Navy Fleet Training Course for fleet officers. A variety of purposes, including the Trinity College of Music.

  • The charming Katy Sark ship The majestic cutty sark:
    The Katie Sark ship was built in 1869 and was the most beautiful and fast vessel. It was then placed in the city of Greenwich in 1956 and is now considered part of a grand museum that contains a collection of the oldest ship sculptures, printers and drawings.

Royal Maritime Royal College:
The palace was built in 1696 AD. The college was under King Edward II, where Henry VIII was born. Catherine married Arjun and Ann from Clevesu, then became a hospital, and then became a naval college.

  • Queen's House:
    It is a residence designed by the architect Anigo Jones. The house is a fine work of art, an architectural masterpiece with its symmetrical parts, its marble stamps, its steel staircase,

  • National Maritime Museum:
    It is the largest maritime museum in the world, as it illustrates the history of the Royal Navy from the times of Theodore and Stoart and the Napoleonic War. The museum is located in two wings in the Queen's house and was opened in 1937.

  • Former Hall of Ceremonies within the College of the Royal Fleet:
    Is a hall located within the Royal College of the Royal Supreme, where it was celebrated in the affairs of the college, and is now open to the public for free, and characterized by exquisite decoration and design, especially the bishop, which is one of the finest decorative ceilings throughout England.

    Greenwich has an old covered market, a small version of the famous Covent Garden shopping area in the heart of London.
