You're very welcome. It's practically tradition to give new community members some starter coins.
You are not seeing the coins because your wallet is out of sync, like you mentioned below. Once it syncs up, they will appear. Is the block height in your wallet rising? This means you are downloading blocks and syncing.

Yes, it will take quite a while to synchronize the complete blockchain. If you want to speed up the process, there is a function under the "Help" menu called "Download blocks" ... if that is functional at the moment it should make it faster than the regular p2p synch.

I have a question about staking.
My Cpid is recognized as I sent out a beacon...
I have an encrypted passphrase and I just have no idea where to find my config file so that I can unlock the wallet for staking.
There is lots of info on doing this... but I cannot find out where my config file actually is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can find your config file under:
...\AppData\Roaming\GridcoinResearch
This is also where your wallet.dat file is kept, which you should back up regularly just to be safe.
That being said, several users have been having problems getting their wallet to unlock automatically. I have not delved into this, so cannot elaborate, but you may just want to unlock it manually for the time being. You can do that straight from the GUI overview page.

Alright! The wallet has been unlocked for staking for a few days... It is showing that I have a magnitude (which is a good thing... and it has been going up... which is a good thing.) I have a stakeweight in the "client messages"... so I assume it is just a waiting game until I actually see something come my way. Thanks for all your help.
