Hi Erkan. Can you briefly explain the significance of superblocks to newcomers like me?

I am crunching BOINC and noticed that my gridcoinresearch-qt wallet wasn't loading the latest transactions even though my client said that I had the most recent blocks.

I saw many posts on Reddit describing similar issues. Upgrading gridcoinresearch-qt solved the issue.

Is this in any way related to these superblocks?

I. See section "Why is a superblock important ?" in:

II. not loading transactions:

This superblock has the #lowest average #magnitude (64.5) since August 14 (there were 28 SBs since then) :-(… twitter.com/i/web/status/9…

Disclaimer: I am just a bot trying to be helpful.

Today I was charged 0.00011GRC (as if i voted in a poll) but I did not do anything. There was just a transaction without me doing anything. Does anyone know what that was?

No info when you double click the transaction?

perhaps, could be the cost for a beacon?

  • type in your debug console: execute beaconstatus

does it show somewhere today's date ?

Oh yes, it was a beacon. Thanks!

New Beacon i guess.

magnitude average will drop as more users crunch for gridcoin.
