gridcoin help...I don't know if I'm stupid or everyone has problems

If you have been editing the files:

  1. Uninstall gridcoin
  2. Delete your AppData\Roaming\GridcoinResearch folder
  3. Re-install gridcoin
  4. Set-up conf like my example below.
  5. Download Blocks file either from in the client (Rebuild block chain | Download Blocks) or from snapshot here
    - http://download.gridcoin.us/download/downloadstake/signed/snapshot.zip
    - Note: The snapshot will not fully sync your client, but will rather bring you up to 80-90% sync. Allow your client to manually sync after the snapshot has been implemented.
  6. Your client should now sync.

If it does not then sync:

  • Verify that your computer time is synced to your configured time server.
  • Investigate whether or not your ISP is blocking the P2P traffic.

Note: Ignore the Gridcoin in-built diagnostics.

Thats the thing now I cant even get it to load . I have deleted and then re installed Im seriously stuck

When you run it, does it crash or can you just not see the window? If it crashes, do you get an error message? If not, if you open the Task Manager and go to Processes, do you see the program "gridcoinresearch.exe"? If you do, it's running but you're not having it display in explorer.

And what about an antivirus or a firewall? Do you have either? If you do, have you created an exception for the Gridcoin wallet so that it is allowed to run and connect to the internet?
