Great work peppernrino, a very comprehensive list.

I'll do what I can to bring this info to the attention of the projects I personally crunch and I hope that anyone reading this list will do the same.

I do think , that respectfully, 'people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones' and therefore we must make sure that we have our own house in order as soon as possible.

Aye, we should sort our problems out but the existence of problems in our system does not justify problems in their systems. The fact remains that SSL is easy to configure & is free if you use letsencrypt.

Do please keep a positive tone when approaching proejct admins/members - if you push the prospect of whitelist removal too hard they may get defensive.
